Welcome to another edition of Happy, Sad, Confused Flying Solo for this intro this week.

Sammy is sadly otherwise occupied,

but I'm happy to be here and I'm happy that you guys

are listening into the podcast.

As I said, the main guest today,

the only guest today, Zoe Deutsch, we'll get to her in a second, one of my favorites.

So thrilled to have her on the show this week.

But first, we should talk a little bit about the Oscars, shouldn't we we kind of like a last like a a bow on the Oscar season the awards season

We've covered it so much on happy second few's had so many of the great nominees the actors actors, the filmmakers involved.

So it feels fitting to have some final thoughts.

I got a chance to cover the Oscars, my 10th consecutive year

being at the Academy Awards which is just bonkers to think

of but it was a little bit of a different one for me this year and in some exciting

ways I you know my day job of course is with MTV and I know and love MTV and they've treated me great.

This year the folks at E invited me to be a part of their Oscars coverage, so I was able to work

that out and that was a lot of fun to be with you know

nobody lives and dies by the red carpet and that kind of coverage more than E and

kind of fascinating to see sort of how they do their thing.

They know how to put on a red carpet show.
