Summary
Zoe’s story is a masterclass in “collect the dots so you can connect the dots.” After years of migraines, numbness, GI chaos, and escalating sciatica, her symptoms were brushed off as “stocking-and-glove neuropathy,” weight, or stress. Her symptoms crescendoed to saddle anesthesia, leg tremors, and urinary trouble, which were the red flags doctors used to finally make an emergency diagnosis, and just in time because Zoe was only 24 hours away from being completely paralyzed.

| 0:57.6 | for all of these women who have been misdiagnosed in their stories. And I see the patterns |
| 1:04.3 | of conditions that have been misdiagnosed over and over and over again. So now I'm seeing them in real time. |
| 1:13.9 | And in Zoe's case, as we have mentioned before, that this is not a podcast about giving |
| 1:20.1 | medical advice or diagnosing patients. |
| 1:22.9 | But I did want to at least offer some potential suggestions for avenues that she can talk to her own doctors. |
| 1:31.2 | And right, that's always been one of the goals of this podcast is to empower people to have better conversations with their doctors. |
