Summary

So far many of our guests have one pub city that is close to their heart; the place where they cut their teeth in the world of pinting. But this week’s guest has had by far the most eclectic pub upbringing: it’s comedian and host of Lightning Zoe Lyons!

Zoe is one of the UK’s most beloved comedians, and has appeared on the like of Mock The Week, Room 101 and QI. She’s also lived in pretty much every part of the United Kingdom, and as a result knows her way around the pubs of this fair land. But the big question is this: will her dream pub reflect the pubs of Glasgow, Brighton, York… or even somewhere further afield?

1:18.2	he's gone off on a little holiday to find himself. I hope he likes what he finds. He's touring
1:23.9	around Ireland and Scotland. He's going to visit some lovely pubs, I'm sure, and he's going to play a bit of golf.
1:28.9	And I hope he doesn't have a breakdown.
1:31.1	So I'll be handling the introduction to everyone's favourite dream pub,
1:35.0	The Moon Underwater, where we invite guests in to select their favourite beers and wines
1:40.1	that they will populate in their dream pub of the mind.
1:44.3	But before we move on to this week's guest, we've got some mist.
1:48.2	As everyone knows, mist is the word we use for correspondence in the moon underwater.
1:53.6	So we've got a lovely mist here from Joe.
1:56.2	Unusual pub location.
1:57.9	I can confirm that the dental school of Newcastle University used to have its own
2:02.4	pub aptly named the Crown and Bridge. Like it. I only saw it on an open day, alas I trained
2:08.4	elsewhere because my dad felt that there was too much of a drinking culture at Newcastle.
