There's brand new reporting on a piece of evidence now in the hands of special counsel

Jack Smith that could might emerge as a critical building block in any obstruction case against

The Guardian is reporting this quote,

Federal prosecutors have evidence that Donald Trump was put on notice that he could not retain

any classified documents after he was subpoenaed for their return last year.

The previously unreported warning conveyed to Trump by his lawyer Evan Corcoran could be

significant in the criminal investigation surrounding Trump's handling of classified

materials, given it shows he knew about his subpoena obligations.

The weeks and months after Trump was served a subpoena from DOJ for any and all classified

documents that remained in his possession and before that court approved search of Mar-a-Lago

back in August that turned up more than 100 items and you guessed it, they were more classified.

that they already handed over everything that was classified.
