pro-Israel lawyer. First story this evening. Last night, Russia bombarded Kiev with missiles and drones,

killing nine people and injuring more than 80, including six children. It was the biggest attack on

the Ukrainian capital this year, destroying buildings and setting off at least 40 fires across the

city. In a statement on social media, the Ukrainian Air Force said it shot down around 100

out of 200 identified enemy targets, which include ballistic and cruise missiles. Early this morning,

President Zelensky arrived in South Africa with his wife for a planned meeting with President

Cyril Ramaphosa. Zelensky, understandably decided to cut the visit short, but did go forward with a planned media appearance.

We are thankful for your support of Ukraine, for your sharing our understanding that this war has to be ended as soon as possible.

This was our primary topic to discuss with President Ramaphosa.

When he had been on a visit to Ukraine, I remember him saying those very important words

about the need to reach a ceasefire as

possible, an unconditional ceasefire. I agreed to it. I said that

everything depends on Russia's intention and desire, because it is in Moscow

where they have to make a decision on silence, making relevant orders to the Russian army.
