Okay, this is Beth. Listen, what we live for at Living Proof is to serve people the Word

of God. We base our ministry on Hebrews 4-12 that tells us that the Word is alive and

active. We pray this message is going to serve you in some way today and that God is

going to speak through it. Thank you so much for giving us this privilege.

I'd like for you to turn with me almost to the end of your old testaments as we fast

forward now in our study of the priesthood, only a couple of lessons from the very end

of our topical series. I want you to fast forward with me now to the book of Zechariah.

You'll find Zephaniah as well along the way, but we're going for Zechariah. It's a longer

book than the two. It's toward the very end of your old testament. If you got to Matthew

start backing up through Malachi and you're going to find Zechariah. Turn there with me to

the third chapter. I want to give you just a little bit of a reminder because the comparison

between the two in my opinion is profound because we talked about the consecration of priests

after they had fallen into neglect and that temple was no longer even a working vessel.

It had been overtaken with idolatry and at this point in time, God was calling them to

rededicate themselves, to rededicate the temple and return to service. We're going to pick up

in a time of the prophets at this point in Zechariah's ministry when God then speaks to the heavenly

perspective of something we saw, not not the same time period, but we looked at an earthly

perspective. In other words, what is the priest's responsibility when there comes a time, a need

for reconsequation? Now we're going to see it from the other side. We're going to look from a

heavenly perspective, different times, but the same in the way that the priest himself had a

responsibility and now we're going to see it from God's responsibility, from God's perspective.

So I want to read through Zechariah chapter 3. I'm going to give you a little context as we go
