Titus chapter 2 verses 13 and 14 say that we are waiting for our blessed hope

the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,

who gave himself for us, to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are

zealous for good works. There's so much really in Titus 2 11 through. The language here is so rich about how the grace of God

trains us to live godly lives as we are and this is where we picked up in

verse 13 waiting for the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior,

Jesus Christ.

What a way to live every single day,

waiting for his appearing.

We can't wait for his appearing. We can't wait for his appearing. And then verse 14 says Jesus

gave himself for us to redeem us from lawlessness, from sin, to purify for himself a people for his own possession, and this is

the phrase I really want to focus on, lead us to pray according to.

God has saved us through Jesus to be a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.

Are you zealous for good works today? Are you zealous for good works today.

You zealous for good works in your life.

Just think for a minute.

What does it look like to live today with zeal for good works.

And I want to encourage you, based on Titus 214,

to live today, zealous for good works.

And make the connection with Matthew 5, 13 through 16 or the salt of the earth, the light of the world, let your light

shine before men that they may see your what?
