All right, today we are looking at Romans chapter 10, and the Apostle Paul, back at the beginning of chapter 9, introduced the issue of the Jewish people.

And what is the situation for them now that people who are not Jews have

become part of God's family? Are they just finished? Is God done with them?

What is the deal? Well Romans 9 and 10 is

Paul's addressing of that issue. Romans 10 verses 1 through 4 is what we're going

to look at today and we're going to see a little bit of a

peek behind the curtain of the heart of the Apostle Paul. Paul himself was a Jewish person.

He was quite concerned for the Jewish people, even though he was the apostle that we know

as the one who went to the Gentiles to share the gospel message with them.

But Romans 10 gives us some insight into how he felt about his brothers and

sisters in the Jewish race. He says brothers, my heart's desire and prayer to God for them, and he's speaking of the Jews, is that they may be saved.

For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.
