Hello, hello everybody. Welcome back to another episode of Fluently Forward. Today, we are diving in to Zara Larson. She is not a new artist. She's been around for a really long time and you probably have heard her voice in a variety of different songs. But she is, I want to say up and coming because she is kind of a rising star right now, which is similar to a lot of

the pop girls that we have seen. Charlie X-CX, Sabrina Carpenter, Zara Larson. It's very interesting,

and I think really cool to see a lot of these pop girls who are getting their time in the spotlight

as like one of the main pop girls, but they've been around since basically, I don't know, like a decade, like a really, really long time. And isn't it interesting how Sabrina Carpenter, Charlie XX, and Zara Larson really popped off with an aesthetic rebrand. Sabrina Carpenter, I don't know, she don't know, she don't know, she don't know like Polly Pocket, 1950s, whatever you want to call it, pinup girl aesthetic.

Charlie XX, it was the Brat Summer, it was the black booty shorts with the sunglasses, rave stuff.

And Zarr Larson lately has really been kind of taking advantage of a meme that was created around her with her song Symphony

when dolphins went into the air and there was a beautiful rainbow, kind of like that Lisa Frank

Island aesthetic. And she has completely adopted it. It fits her so well. And I think that's

part of the reason why she is now entering the stratosphere. And everything about that is so entrancing to me as a concept. I mean, isn't it so tantalizing the idea that we're all one like curtain bang or side bang or aesthetic rebrand away from absolute greatness? I know that we're not pop girls, but still. But at any right, even though it pisses a lot of old Zara Larson fans off, they're like, she's been around forever. I was here a decade ago, all of that type of, I don't know, like hipster logic. But you cannot deny she's up and coming. So I want to cover her because she's been going viral, whether it's her cover of Give Me More by Britney Spears, whether it's the way that her female dancers will hold her up on tour in almost like a dolphin, scorpion yoga-like position with her legs fully in the air above her as she sings.

Whether it's her song's Lush Life or Midnight Sun or the way that she's now kind of this Malibu, Polly Pocket, Lisa Frank rebrand that has everybody going, ah, it feels like it's

summer all the time.

For whatever the reason is, she's now kind of on everybody's radar, and I think it's time to do

a proper deep dive on her because she's a really, really fascinating person.

So we're going to get into it.
