Summary

What happens when we build homes on land that has already seen death, violence, and burial?

In this episode of Paranormal Activity, Yvette & Karl investigate housing estates across the UK that sit on former battlefields, military barracks, and graveyards.

Places where history didn’t just happen… it left a mark.

From the land surrounding Culloden Battlefield at Milton of Culloden, to the military training ground at Bulford, and the violent clash remembered at Linlithgow Bridge, we explore the chilling reports from residents living where soldiers once fought and died.

We also step inside former military sites including Mill Street Barracks and Fulwood Barracks, where witnesses describe marching footsteps, shouted commands, and apparitions in uniform long after the troops left.

And beneath some of our busiest cities lie burial grounds that were never meant to be disturbed.

From plague burials beneath Spitalfields and Minories, to the modern controversy surrounding the HS2 Old Methodist Church site.

Why do we keep building on these places?

Do the hauntings reflect the kind of suffering that once happened there?

Could the land itself remember the past?

This episode explores the history, the hauntings, and the unsettling question at the heart of it all:

When we build over the dead… do they really stay buried?

Good. Now, we tend to think of our homes as places of safety, don't we? Bricks and mortar,

is already crowded? Not with neighbours, but with memories, with suffering, with death.

places where people fought, trained for war, were buried without ceremony,

Well, this week, Carl and I want to explore what happens when we build over those histories,

when homes rise where soldiers fell or where the dead were quietly moved aside.

Are the hauntings reported in these places coincidence or are we living on ground that

activity. Now, as you know, I like to start the show with a little fact or fiction. Listen out for the answer at the end of the show. I shall be testing you, Mr. Beattie. As this week's episode is all about haunted housing estates, I want to know whether it's fact or fiction that the hauntings of the former battlefield of the Milton of Kalloden only occur on the battlefield itself. Find out at

the end of the show. So there you go, Mr. Beatty. I'm giving you a chance to think about that,

ruminate on it, and then I shall be asking you for the answer at the end, all right?

Yes, thank you. Thank you for the time to think.
