corner and Wayne saw with annoyance that the was between Jimmy and Sally. That was what he got for being late.

Sorry I'm late, Wayne puffed. Bloody manager has made me work right up to the end of my shift

because we were blooming busy. Normally she lets me go early if I have a

crisis or something I need to get to, but not tonight. He shook his head in disgust.

I had to wait right up till the part-timer came in.
