This week, a remarkable woman at 92 remembering resistance to the Nazis in Lithuania.

But we begin this week with a story from the annals of a bitter European separatist struggle.

The Basque Nationalist Group Etta was formed in 1959, to campaign

and to fight for greater autonomy from Spain's central government. For decades it operated

in the Basque region of northern Spain and in southwestern France.

And during the 1970s one of Etta's leading lights was Maria de la

Laus Gonsales-Katerain, also known for short as Yoyez.

As part of the BBC's 100 women's season, we are now recalling her life and untimely death.

She was murdered by her own former comrades in 1986.
