0:15.4	This one is going to be a hard one, guys, trigger warning for severe child abuse.
0:21.2	Just before 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 30th, a household in Utah discovered a boy knocking
0:26.8	on their door begging for food and water.
0:30.0	According to a later police report, the 12-year-old appeared emaciated and malnourished and had
0:35.3	open wounds as well as pieces of duct tape on his wrists and ankles.
0:40.8	The boy was in bad enough shape that he was taken to an area hospital.
0:45.1	He said that he escaped from the window of a nearby house, but that his 10-year-old sister
0:50.1	was still there.
0:51.6	Sure enough, authorities would find the girl in a similar condition, sending her to the
0:55.9	hospital as well.
0:57.6	Another four children in a different residence were taken into the care of Utah child and
1:01.8	family services.
1:03.2	By the end of the day, a prominent mom content YouTuber and podcaster, as well as her business
1:09.2	partner and co-host, would be arrested and charged with six counts of felony child abuse.
1:15.5	So what in the hell was happening here?
1:18.6	In 2015, Ruby Frank started a YouTube channel called Eight Passengers about her family
1:24.6	life with her husband and six children.
1:27.2	The channel got to around 2.5 million followers at peak.
1:31.2	The content was a behind-the-scenes look at the family's life and often included Frank
1:36.0	espousing, extremely severe discipline and punishment for the children.
