This is true, you can click dislike, although I don't know why you would do that, but you

won't have the satisfaction of seeing that number increase by one because YouTube recently

made a decision to hide, to not publicly show the dislike count on videos anymore, and

Christine, people aren't happy about it.

Now, I think I'm not sure if everyone understands this, but the creator can still see how many

dislikes are on their video. The analytics are still there, they're just not made public.

So YouTube has chosen to only show the like number, but not the dislike number. So it's

one thing to like take it all away, and it's another thing just to only let the creator

know how much their content is disliked, but not the public.

Right, there is some nuance to it.

Yeah, and just for people as old as we are, any dinosaurs listening to this, you may

remember a time in YouTube history where YouTube had more specific ratings on videos.
