Have you heard the saying youth is wasted on the young?

So true, isn't it?

As a kid you want to be older, whatever older is.

I remember being a kid wanting to earn an allowance.

Then there was my first summer when I stopped volunteering as a counselor and instead got

a paying job.

I didn't realize there wasn't a rush, but the point is as a kid you can't wait to grow

up and then as an adult you wish you could go back to some of those responsibility

list days of being a kid, adulting can get tiring.

So that's established now.

I don't most cliché at this point, but you know what's not cliché is that youth can

also be wasted on the parents.

As a parent you'll wish you had a babbling one year old again.

You'll think back to when you had a three year old totalling all over the place for

a five year old sounding out words in a book or a ten year old who wants to play in
