Now a brief programming announcement. Today marks the 60th anniversary of the end of the Golden Age of Radio.

On September the 30th of 1962, CBS aired back-to-back the last episode of Johnny Dollar and the last episode of Suspense.

I did a special for the 50th anniversary and we will be replaying that on Sunday with both programs as well as my commentary.

So look for that coming up on Sunday. But now it is time for this week's episode of your truly Johnny Dollar.

The original air date, April the 6th, 1954, and the title is the sulfur and brimstone matter.

The Trevor's construction company is building one at the end of the day, about a couple of hundred miles west of Caracas, Venezuela.

There's a time penalty clause in their contract, Johnny, and we put up the completion bond.

Now the dam isn't finished by a week from Friday. It starts costing us five thousand a day until it is.

You found worried.

We got a radio grant from Ace of Travers yesterday claiming that attempts are being made to prevent the completion of the dam on schedule.

Last night, Trevor's got himself involved in a premature dynamite explosion.

Did they kill him?

That was accomplished by two thirty-eight caliber slugs they found in him afterwards.

I wonder if coffee is any cheaper in Venezuela.
