Currently in cover is a textile offered in New York, Wallace Cotton's and Company. This week, their auditors found a shortage in the books.

How much of a shortage?

It's nearly $5,000. Wait, I got it right here. $4,185.

And I'm suppose to find out who took it?

Oh, no. We already know who did that. One of the bookkeepers in their office, Lester James.

He's been arrested and admitted everything. I thought maybe you could find out what he did with all that money.

Well, I'm going to New York anyway. I'll see what I can do.
