Now, in between last week's episode and this week's,

there was a lost episode,

and this is usually more of just a bookkeeping matter but the lost episode that's missing may be one of the more significant ones

in the bob bailey era as that and this one, was one of those interconnected episodes.

It's not a story where it won't stand on its own, but it can be helpful to have heard the

previous story. Now, from the character angle, it also included the introduction of an ongoing character who

would be in the series for the rest of the Bailey run, and Betty Lois, who is a girlfriend

of Johnny, a relationship that became an element of a bit of a tease for listeners,

although not too much. And she's in this story as well, so it wouldn't be great if we could

bring you the curly waters matter. But we can't, but there's enough context in this story to

understand what happened, at least as is relevant to this episode.
