Good evening Dallas. Hello everyone. My name is Garrett. If we've never met before, if we've

never spent time together before, I want to welcome everybody who's tuning in, not in this exact

room, whether you're in Fort Worth or Houston or somewhere else in all the creation. So glad you guys

are going to be a part of this tonight. Hey, I want to start asking you this question. Have you ever had a

moment in life that seemed to throw you into a little bit of a pit? I'm not talking about a mirror

problem. I'm talking about a problem that you get stuck in and you can't seem to climb your way

out of. Like it graduates from a problem to an all-out pit. You ever had that moment? Let me tell you

about the first one I had when I came on staff. So I became a resident here in the fall of 2013.

So almost five years ago. And as soon as I became a resident, just a few weeks later was the biggest

porch event of the year. It's called Launcher Tree. I'm not sure if any of you have heard of it or

enjoyed a good time out there. But the first event of me being a resident was that we were going to go

have a launch retreat. Now keep in mind, think like first day on the job, first few weeks on the job,

you really want to do right. You don't want to mess anything up. You don't want anybody to think

you're not pulling your way. That's kind of the mentality. Make a good first impression. That's kind

of the mentality that I'm coming into this event with. And David approached me and we did not know

each other well at this point. And he just said, hey, you have one job. In this opening session,

you are the balloon drop guy. And I looked up in the room and in this room where there were going to

be 1,000 young adults, many of you seated right there in that room. There's this huge net of balloons,

a tube of balloons going across the room from left to right. And he says, hey, at the end of the

national anthem, it's just like a game day theme. And so there's going to be a national anthem

going off and confetti and all this stuff. He said at the end of the national anthem, okay?
