Summary

Although there’s a lot to love about Whole Foods, naysayers can’t seem to come to terms with the supermarket’s relatively steep prices, hence the nickname “Whole Paycheck.” However, a lot has changed following Amazon’s staggering $13.7 billion acquisition of Whole Foods. Amazon slashed price tags on best-selling groceries and even added coveted tech to some of its stores. Before you pay a visit to your local Whole Foods, check out our top things you should know before shopping. Rest assured, you’ll still be surprised. And in this episode, we are shedding some light on another one of our food landmarks, if you will, and it's one that continues to grow, thanks to its shiny new owner, Amazon. It's Whole Foods. And this is a fun follow up to some of the other episodes we've done on Trader Joe's and Costco, so make sure you check those out. Megan, are you a big Whole Foods fan yourself? should be eating. Yeah, I love the produce section there. It's just, it's inspiring and you're like, okay, like, I'm here. I want to eat well. And that's, and to your point, like, that's why you probably spend a little more. Yeah. It's not because the prices, you know, people just call it whole paycheck.

because it all looks so good.

2:18.5

But it's like it's so,

2:19.2

it's all so enticing and fresh and everything, everything's in good shape and you don't have like the ugly fruits and stuff like that, which actually are not that bad, right? But it's, you know, if you get pretty fruit, like why not? But everything just looks ready to go and ready to eat and delicious and healthy and hearty. Um, so I always stock my
