Crikey. First time I've seen the neighbours scraping the ice from the windscreen as their cars as I sail by in my chauffeur-driven limousine. So I do take care out there. Very slippy, very slidy, very chilly. We used to have ice scrapers when I started here. Did you know that? LBC ice scrapers. It's about the extent of the marketing budget for my

program when I had 11 listeners. He used to people would ring up and beg for them. It's a lump

moulded plastic. Just scrape the eyes. Can we get the marketing department on the phone and see

whether or not we can resurrect the J-O-B ice-scraper story of approximately 2002 or thereabouts.

Two ways into it today.

I don't know how you're feeling about things.

I don't know what you'll prefer.

We might do both.

We might just suck it and see because there's the sort of,

there's the theory of it,

and then there's the practicality of it.

So I'm increasingly drawn to the question of

why conservative MPs seem to be the ones most upset about the conservative government's

new policies, tiers, lockdowns in all but name. I'm interested in, I use the word very loosely, I think,

because most of the prominent conservatives I've seen spouting their skepticism about the current policies

look to me and sound to me as if were it not for their posh accents and private educations,

pot kettle, black, O'Brien,

they'd struggle to spell ideology.

But that perhaps is a little unfair.

I don't know if the word is a bit too highfalutin to describe people who seem to me to just hate being told what to do.
