So I recently read a book that was written a hundred years ago called The Game of Life and How to Play It.

I love this book. You can definitely tell that it's an older book by how things are written.

You can tell it's, of course, you know, naturally beautifully dated, but oh my, there's a reason this is still in print and timeless it was written by a woman called

Florence and I thoroughly enjoyed it I highlighted a lot I sent some of my favorite passages to some of my friends because I think it's amazing what she says about money, what she says about possibility, what she says about manifesting.

And I want to read you a passage now around perfect self-expression.

Because she explains in this book that living a good life is living your very own perfect self-expression.

So showing up is you, saying what you're meant to say, being who you're meant to be,

doing what you're meant to do without limits, without fearing judgment, without

following the crowd.

So I'm going to read you a couple of separate passages here and then I want to break them down a little bit.

She says that what we're seeking is seeking us.

She says demand definite leads and the way will be made easy and successful.

One should not visualize or force a mental picture.

When he demands the divine design to come into his conscious mind,

he will receive flashes of inspiration

and begin to see himself making some great accomplishment.

This is the picture or idea he must hold without wavering. The thing a man seeks is seeking him. The telephone was seeking Bell.

So Alexander Graham Bell, who created the telephone, it was seeking him.

We all have those flashes of inspiration, don't we?

But so quickly we just write them off, think they're silly, get back to the practical, get back to the day to day.

She says here too, a woman's perfect self-expression may be in becoming a perfect wife, a perfect mother, a perfect homemaker,
