It's difficult to describe until you've been through it, but you've been through it and you know there is a gift of the presence of God that is available only through suffering.

And it just doesn't come on the sunshine and ice cream days.

It just doesn't.

It comes through the heart.

And for many people, through years of hard, but they come to know something of God that they would never trade otherwise.

And Craig said that at the end, at the end of his cancer journey.

Stacy's mom, Stacy found a note in her mother's Bible

to the men and women of her parish.

This is after she died of cancer and she had written this beautiful

note saying that the cancer was one of the most profound gifts of God

because it opened her back up to love, into being loved.

Yeah, so, yeah, there's deep mystery in that.
