The Abbya Bibles go with me to the book of Matthew, chapter 14, and we'll start at verse 22, I'm

going to talk to you about understanding the relationship between spiritual authority and

spiritual law. Understanding the relationship between your spiritual authority and spiritual law.

Now when I talk about spiritual law, I'm not talking about the law that came from Moses. I'm not

talking about the law of Moses that says you got to do good to get good. I'm not

talking about you got to perform. I'm talking about spiritual laws or established principles that will work all the time.

I want to pick up here in Matthew chapter 14 because I recognize that there's something here with what we all recognize

about Peter walking on the water but in this you're going to see spiritual law and

spiritual authority at the same time. Matthew chapter 14 in verse 22, and he says here, and I'll read through verse 31, he says,

in straight way Jesus constrain his disciples to get into a ship and to go before him unto another side while he sent the multitudes away.

And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray and when the evening was calm he was there alone.

But the ship was now in the midst of the sea.

It was being tossed with waves for the wind was contrary. So they're in the

middle of a hard storm here. And in the fourth watch of the night, Jesus went unto them walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw

him walking on the sea, they were troubled saying, it is a spirit and they cried out for fear.

But straightway Jesus spake unto them saying be of good cheer it is I be not afraid.

And Peter answered him and said it is I be not afraid.

And Peter answered him and said,
