Welcome to Scoop.

It is Tuesday, October 14th. We had a long weekend and a lot of news

that transpired over that, quote unquote, holiday weekend here in the United States. We do have the

federal holiday of Columbus Day that many recognize. We also have Indigenous People's Day.

That's also recognized depending on your state. And as I saw from some

of our audience members on Instagram, some people just had the day off of school for a completely

different reason, like teachers in service. You could tell that the calendar did not want to

reflect the different types of days or holidays. They just were saying, listen, you get Monday.

So there was a few different ways that you may have confronted

this particular three-day weekend in America. I was lucky we had a four-day weekend from my kiddo's

school, which was really nice. But as any parent knows, the four-day weekends can also feel really long

sometimes. I love them. No, no, no, I love

them. It was great. We had a great time. And it was, and it was, it was really nice to have a moment just to

step back a little bit, although there was plenty of news that happened over the weekend,

including so much activity in the Middle East. And we're going to get to that today.

So we have some many, many developing stories. And in fact, so many of them, I didn't want to push

them all into one podcast. So today, what I decided to do is to give you the proper scoop of news,

to prepare you for the week ahead, is to really focus on deals. Deals. I was thinking to myself,
