So welcome to our Rosary meditation.

I am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church for First Thursday.

Our meditation today I'm drawing from a fantastic book written back in 1858 by Father Frederick

Faber. It's his spiritual conferences. And in this book, in one of his chapters,

it's actually the very last chapter, he speaks about the way that God created each and every person in the universe with a particular calling,

a particular place in his plan, a place that nobody else can fill.

And one of the greatest joys is to find that and then live that because it makes your life so delightful.

So we're going to reflect, begin to reflect on that in this rosary and then for probably the next couple of nights.

So let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

And let's call the mind all those that we've promised to pray for.

God loves each one of us with a particular love.

It is one of the most common thoughts in religion and yet so amazing that when we come to look steadily at it, we almost don't believe it.

God does not look at us merely in the mass and multitude.

As we shall stand single and alone before his judgment seat,

so do we stand, so have we always stood,

single and alone before the eye of his boundless love.

This is what each man must believe of himself.

From all eternity, God determined to create me, not simply a new person, not simply the son of my parents, a new

inhabitant of my country, an additional soul to do the work of the century in which we live, he resolved to create

me such as I am. The me by which I am myself, the me by which other people know me

different from any other person ever created
