Amidst capitalism, money tends to get the lion's share

of our collective attention, doesn't it? We are told that money, the pursuit of money,

the pursuit of financial resources, that is most important. And many of us create lives around

obtaining what we've been told is most important, right?

That is normal behavior.

When we think or talk about wealth in America, 99 times out of 100, we're talking about financial wealth.

Again, money rules for better or for worse.

But if we stop for a moment and if we challenge that notion, it won't take long for each of us to realize that there are many different forms of wealth.

Financial wealth is just one form of wealth.

There's time wealth, of course, when we have control over our schedule, when we have

downtime, when we have the ability, the freedom, the privilege to be present. There's social

wealth, of course, investing in relationships and friendships, investing in making quality

memories. There's physical wealth, having an able body, having ample energy.

There's emotional wealth, feeling fulfilled, feeling that inner peace.

I mean, I could go on and on.

But my point is that there are many types of wealth to be had, and finances are just one of them.
