And in the hands of a transplant surgeon, it can even save someone else's life.

It must feel so exhilarating.

A liver that was just a lump on a tray.

A few minutes ago comes back to life.

I mean, it almost shouldn't work, I think.

It is the most humbling thing in the world as well, though.

How many transplants do you think you've done?

Gosh, I personally have probably done over 300 kidney transplants, just over 200 liver

transplants.

Last year in March, on Facebook, there was a little girl in our town that needed kidney.

My daughter looked at me because, you know, Mom, you would match up with her blood type. So I called the hospital where she was working through, and that's how the process started.
