    Hey friends, welcome back to the Brilliant Perspectives podcast. Today, Graham Cook is inviting us into something really special, seeing our story through God's eyes.

    We so often focus on our journey toward him. But what if the greater reality is God's journey toward us?

    You know, from the very beginning, God has been moving in love. He's been shaping our identity and inviting us to walk in the fullness of who he's always seen us to be.

    We'll explore what it means to partner with his story,

    as we step into transformation and learn

    So to understand our journey and story with God, we have to start with his story and journey towards us.

    Now, God is always the initiator of our spirituality.

    And so our role in that then is to respond to what he actually begins in us.

    It's like, in the beginning, God decided to make man in his image.

    So the Father Jesus and the Holy Spirit all got together and said, let's make man like us.

    Let's make people that can see everything the way we see it. We want them to think in ways that open up

    and create opportunities. And they must learn our language of the kingdom, which is the language of

    acknowledgement, agreement, and abiding. Then they can learn to stand in, to walk out, and to work out all that we

    intend for them. So that's God's primary purpose in creating us in Genesis 1.26. Let's make man

    in our image.

    So everything that God is doing in your life is focused on making you to be like him.

    It's why at salvation he puts you into Christ. And all your life situations are the best training ground to learn about how to live in the indwelling presence

    of the Holy Spirit, which is why he gave the Holy Spirit was to be our teacher, our helper,

    and our comforter in life situations. Jesus said in John 1423, if anyone loves me, he will keep my word and my father will love him
