I have a career question relating to working in a family business.

I'm graduating college in December, and I feel a lot of pressure from my family to stay

in the family business, but I'm not sure that that's the best path for me, especially since

I have like big goals of starting a family next year or getting married more specifically

and moving out.

I just don't think that it would be the right move.

And so I was wondering if you had any advice on navigating that conversation.

What has happened so far?

I'm curious to know what's been said so far.

Anything at all, or if you just kind of swept it under the rug?

No, there's definitely been something said.

I've had conversations with my dad about what I want to do, and he seems to have an understanding

of it.

My grandmother has said things as far as like, we're going to buy you out, and we're

going to make you stay.

You're not going to refuse it.

And so it's kind of like that kind of pressure that worries me of what it will look like.
