I could go on about how your advice has helped me manage my credit and debt or how you and your guests have helped my partner and I work together through money issues despite challenges with ADHD and OCD and so much more.

But I wanted to write in response to share my experience with IVF and specifically with my experience as an egg donor.

I'll try to keep it short but I'm not known for my brevity and I'm still working through a lot of emotions from the experience.

When my cousin and his husband asked if I would be their egg donor in the fall of 2020, it was a no question, no brainer, yes.

We have always been the close fabulous queer duo among our family back in Appalachia and I love him dearly.

I also thought the act would help me cope with my own reproductive past after my abortion in 2013.

Spoiler alert, I'm happy to say they welcomed their baby in April of 2022.

As happy as we all are that their daughter is here, I think all three of us share some degree of emotional trauma from the ordeal for several reasons.

Let me start by saying that my situation is rare in the assistive reproductive tech industry.

Most egg donations are matched by agencies and donors don't always have the relationship prior to working with an agency.
