| 0:00.0 | Good morning, gorgeous. How are you doing today? I hope you're having a fanatastic day. Welcome to the Dr. Davs show. I'm your host, Dr. Michelle |
| 0:24.2 | Daff. We're talking today again about character. I know I talked in the past about possibly |
| 0:31.5 | making this an entire series for a longer period of time, maybe next year. And I think I definitely want to do it. Because the thing |
| 0:40.0 | about character is that we use that word all the time. His character, her character, you have to |
| 0:46.3 | have good character. Your character matters. But there aren't a lot of teachings about what that |
| 0:53.2 | actually looks like in the day to day of your life. |
| 0:57.0 | Like what moments happen spontaneously that show your character? |
| 1:04.4 | And for me, I said it before and I'll say it again. |
| 1:08.3 | This is an area that affected me greatly. It is the area that |
| 1:12.6 | brought me right into the hands of Jesus was that my character was so bad. And it affected |

| 1:25.7 | I would lie all the time. I remember literally sitting on my mom's bed |
| 1:31.1 | and her having lectures that would last an hour about me lying. And I did it so much that it got |
| 1:40.2 | wrapped into who I was. So as I got older, I would lie about things I did not need to lie about |
| 1:48.0 | because I just got so used to lying being an option. Yeah, I could tell the truth, or I could lie. |
| 1:55.0 | And either way, it didn't really matter to me. So it wasn't until I got saved that, of course, the spirit of God came upon me in a sense |
| 2:05.0 | that I started to realize where I was lying. |
| 2:10.3 | Because when you do something so much, it gets weaved into who you are and you may even |
| 2:15.9 | have a hard time separating yourself from it. |
| 2:18.4 | So those little lies I used to tell, like, for example, someone asks me, well, what are you doing? |
| 2:24.1 | What are you doing right now? I'm on the phone. What are you doing right now? Instead of just saying, |
| 2:28.8 | oh, I'm just sitting on the bed, I'll come up with more than what I'm actually doing for no reason or what ended up |
