basic needs. Number one, we need a word from God, and number two, we need a way to God. We need to hear from

and so that we can know what his purposes are in the world and so that we can know what he requires of us.

And so we need a word from God, some authoritative, clear, understandable, revelation from God. We need that. Without that, we're totally

in the dark as to who we are and who he is and what we should do with life. And we need a way to him because if we get alienated from him, if we can't

find a way home to God out of our guiltiness that all of us feel, there's nobody in this room who feels like you've measured up to your own standards let alone to God's standards.

Unless we find a way home through our guilt to God, we spend eternity in darkness and death and torment, and so we've got two big needs.
