Hello, we're going to start off today's episode with an email from Andrew Sinclair,

which is representative of quite a lot of the emails in the newscast inbox at the moment. Here he goes. My daughter is in her first year at

Sheffield and hoping to return for the summer term which begins on 19th of April. I was hoping there would be something

about universities in Boris Johnson's announcement this week,

but I didn't hear anything.

I really want my daughter to have some experience of more normal university life before the summer.

Well Andrew, you are not alone alone we've heard similar things from

other newscasters as I was saying from universities UK the body that represents

higher education establishments from the National Union of Students,

lots of people saying very similar things.

And the latest we're hearing

is that the Department for Education

will say something before the end of the Easter holidays,

and my Easter holidays already over,

but that I think means we've officially

got a couple of days to wait.

So let's see what we get by the end of the week,

and I promise we will try and come back to this when there is something to say. But there is plenty to

say about lots of other things on this edition of Newscast.
