The So anyone that loves history, when they really get into a historical figure or moment,

at some point thinks to themselves, they should make a movie about that person or that moment.

And as a George Washington fan, I've always thought that they needed to make a Washington movie.

In fact, my first episode on this podcast was about George Washington and his military exploits.

It's called First American Action Hero.

And it covers his heroics at the battles of Menongahela, Trenton,

and Princeton. And I distinctly remember a friend listening to the episode and telling me,

how haven't they made a movie about this? Well, guess what? They are making a movie on Washington.

I was so excited to hear about this movie. It's titled Young Washington. And it's being produced

by Angel Studios, which is famous for

doing The Sound of Freedom, The Chosen, the Tuttle Twins, Bonhoeffer, and much more. And our guest today

is the co-founder of Angel and the executive producer of the Young Washington movie, Benton Crane.

Hey, my pleasure, Richard. Thanks for having me. So I'm excited. I mean, I just want to put it out

there. My fans know, or I shouldn't say fans, my listeners know that I'm a huge George Washington

fans. So this is very exciting for me. There were a few times that I've heard of mainstream

Hollywood studios during doing or thinking about doing a Washington movie. And depending on the director,

I was, I had varying levels of enthusiasm. But to hear that Angel is doing it is very exciting.

So yes, very excited. Well, thank you. And we are also very excited. And, you know,

George Washington is a hero to many, many people. And so getting to dive into his origin story and
