Good afternoon. Dwayne, Tackerum Bible Talk. And I'm gonna, I just want to look at a story in the Old Testament today and see what we can see from it.

Get on and throw up how arrogant Dwayne is and talk about how would you blow smoke in Jesus' face and

and then go huffing and puffing off someplace else.

Find you a preacher out there somewhere who's kind and gentle and lisbee who won't

threaten your gentility okay uh you're not going to take away my liberty i'm going to enjoy

a cigar while we look at scripture okay all right so there you go first kings chapter 13

going to look at a story here and we're just going to go through this story and look at some things.

See if we can't learn a little bit from it.

First King chapter 13 verse number one.

It says, and behold, there came a man of God out of Judah by the word of the Lord under

Bethel and Jerobo stood by the altar to burn incense. Now what we got going here is Bethel is a city

in Israel. Jerusalem is of course the capital city. Jerusalem is where the temple is. Jerusalem is, the capital city.

Jerusalem is where the temple is.

Jerusalem is where the sacrifices are supposed to be done.

All right?

But Jeroboam is the king, and he has set up an altar in Bethel,

which is not supposed to be.

And so God has sent a man of God out of Judah.

Judah is where the Jerusalem is, Judah. And so he sent him up where he said, you go talk to

Jerobone. And he cried against the altar in the word of the lord

and said o altar altar thus saith the lord behold a child shall be born under the house of david josiah by name
