I was reading a story today about a US Army employee named Janet Yanaka Mello. She's been indicted and she has accused

of stealing more than $100 million from the United States Army.

Now, what you think about this for a moment? She's not accused of stealing $100 or even $100,000, but $100 million dollars.

The story goes, she would simply submit fraudulent paperwork.

So she's going, I don't know if she's doing it a million at a time,

10 million at a time, go big girl.

She used the money to purchase millions of dollars of real estate, cars, jewelry.

This is all laid out in the indictment

and the pleadings from the Western District of Texas

U.S. Attorney's Office.

She bought 31 different properties that they found so far,

including a 58-acre property.

She bought 78 vehicles. 78! Hell if you gave me 78 exotics, I'd rather have classics, but if you gave me 78 classic cars and trucks,

I wouldn't know where to store them all.

I guess that's why she had to have the land.

She got to have a place to have all this stuff.

So the pleadings say that she would file fraudulent paperwork for funding for her organization called

Child Health and Youth Lifelong Development, which spells out CHYLD for child,

isn't that cute?

Which would provide quote services to military members and their families.

Except it doesn't. But nobody cares.
