You might have heard about Flamie Hut, a new movie directed by Yvelongoria about Richard

Montañez, the Frito-Lay Mexican janitor who invented Flamie Hut cheetos, or so goes the

story.

Well, two years ago, I had the chance to edit a conversation between Richard Montañez

and La Jefa, my boss, Maria Inohosa.

And we thought that this was a good time to revisit that episode.

When we originally published the story, Richard was facing controversy after the LA Times

published a long article titled The Man Who Didn't Infant Flamie Hut Cheetos.

Some people were upset with Richard for sustaining what they felt was alive or so long.
