All right, let's get to it. Looking forward to what the Lord has for us tonight. We last

week started in this amazing book of Jeremiah, Jeremiah chapter one, tonight, Lord willing,

we will complete chapter two. It's a rather lengthy chapter. It's kind of involved a little bit.

That might be an understatement, but really looking forward to what the Lord has for us. So,

why don't we begin with a word of prayer before we jump in. We'll ask God to bless our

understanding and our time together in His

Word if you would please join with me. Father in heaven, thank you so, so, so much. Lord,

this time that we have together on a Thursday night is for us a much needed break and respite and

sanctuary from the busyness of our very stressful lives, especially in this world in which

we're living in. Lord, we so look forward to just putting all

of that aside and giving you our undivided attention as our Bibles are open and our hearts are

open and our ears are open and our eyes are open to see, hear and receive from you as you minister

to us in and through your word. Lord, tonight we want to give you our undivided attention

with no distractions so that you can speak into our lives because this

is an important message that you deem necessary to have recorded in the pages of Holy

writ in this book, in this chapter.

And the parallels to what the world is today are profound.

And so Lord, I know that you want to show us that tonight.

You want to speak to us about that tonight. So Lord, will you speak? Your servants

are listening. We pray. In Jesus' name, amen and amen. All right. So beginning here

in chapter 2 and on through the next several chapters, as we talked about

last week, Jeremiah is called of God.
