This is episode 314. You've got style. But which one? It's the age old question. What is my style?

This is a question we get a lot. People are really burdened by this question, and I don't want

anyone to feel burdened by this question at all, and I don't want you to feel like this episode is forcing you

to choose a style or asking you, what is your style? Because we're not because we are sort of the,

I don't want to say anti-style because, man, we've got style. But you know what I'm saying?

We are not about defining yourself in a particular style.

I think if you've been listening for any period of time, you know that.

Well, okay, let me clarify.

I think in the beginning we talked about defining your style.

And here was my personal thinking on this is I think everybody, it works best to kind of, for you to kind of figure

out what your own style is, put a name on it. And I'm not looking for you to necessarily say that

your style is exactly like contemporary or transitional or traditional or traditional or

country French or coastal.

I'm not looking for that so much, but for you to have a, I'd like for everybody to kind

have a name in their mind that describes their particular style and for them to have a

good feel for what it includes and what it doesn't include because I think that's

helpful when you're going to design your house.

But, you know, I'm not suggesting in any way that you should closely fit, that tightly fit in any particular box.

We're not about putting you in a box, but I think defining what you're looking for and maybe more importantly what you're not looking

for is helpful to making your house look cohesive. How's that? Kelly.
