Wow. What a beautiful Christmas Eve. And what a poignant question.

Am I still invited? You know that would be funny a lot of the video that we saw if it wasn't so real, right?

Especially the IRS action call. How many of you have gotten that call and thought I know it's not real,

but they said someone is on the way to the house right now from the sheriff's department.

So surely I should call them, but I know I shouldn't, but maybe I should and you were in

no man's land for a minute. Anybody? Nobody called them, did they? Okay, good.

But it would all be funny if it wasn't so close to home.

And the question always lingers. And maybe you've been thinking about it, especially coming into

this Christmas season. Am I still invited? With the God of Heaven,

would He still want me? Do I have a place in the family of God? I'm not sure if I even have a

place in my family right now, much less a place in God's family. And I think we find the answer

to that question today in the Bethlehem Star. You know, there was an astrological

phenomenon, some kind of astronomical occurrence that led these magi from the east all the way

to Bethlehem. And you would think that if this whole Christmas thing, by the way, was a myth or a

hope that astronomers in a modern age would have already quashed that story. But quite the

contrary is true. If you look to the astronomers of the day, they actually postulate various

possibilities for what the magi saw in the sky that would have led them all the way to Bethlehem.

One of the great theories is an alignment of planets which would only happen in a very,
