there tends to be a deeply held belief

that salvation only comes through Jesus Christ, meaning if you do not accept Jesus Christ as your

Lord and Savior, then you risk being separated from God in the afterlife. And that belief is

often well-meaning because it comes from concern. Christians genuinely want you to be saved, but it also creates tension when someone identifies as spiritual but not religious,

because it doesn't fit into the either-or framework.
