0:52.9	Hello there. Welcome to another episode of the podcast, whether this is your first time or you've been here before. I'm so glad you're spending some of your time with me today. Now, in this short episode, I'm going to share four things that you can do to make your hospital room yours and I say your hospital room
1:14.7	because yes you are paying for it all right that your insurance is paying for it
1:19.5	you pay for the insurance you paying for that hospital room so you should be
1:23.5	able to make that space yours and this isn't just because you're paying for it. It's really
1:29.8	because the environment of your labor room has an impact on your labor and birth. It has an
1:37.0	impact on how you feel, your mindset, just the energy surrounding your birth experience so you can take control and make that hospital
1:47.0	room yours with these four simple things. Okay, first one is the lights. Hospital lights are
1:55.1	generally harsh, they're super duper bright, they're just not very like warm and cozy.
2:02.6	Now, granted, many hospitals on labor and delivery units are realizing that they need to work on the lighting.
2:10.6	And like when they do renovations and things like that, they make the lighting so it feels a lot more homey or more comfortable, but that's not always the case.
2:19.1	And there will probably still be those bright lights that can be turned on just in case.
2:24.2	And I will tell you, healthcare workers are really bad about turning on lights.
2:29.5	We're often like flipping the lights on when we come in the room and just like out of habit and just the
2:35.5	culture of not really paying attention to the person who's in the room and giving birth
