So another night of rioting a brilliant decision to impose a curfew on New York

City at 11 p.m. leading to three hours of untrammeled looting from Macy's on 34th Street

up Fifth Avenue to the Best Buy in the 40's and North Face Store in the 40's and various

places in Times Square, a Rolex store at 53rd Madison, and then I guess the curfew

hit and people sort of went home, which raises the question of what happens tonight or

what happens for the rest of the week because you know there seems to be an almost geographical

nature to this where they're sort of systematically moving uptown and that means what's left

or the Upper East and Upper West sides of Manhattan which are largely residential with

some retail expensive retail and you know that's where it starts to really terrify people.

Yeah, I mean if there's an analog to the most you know grandest of riots in New York

City's history, the draft riots, that was the progression, it was three days of northward

movement and it had those riots had very much an anti-class feel which I'm a class war

feel which I'm not sure is entirely applicable to these necessarily but it isn't hard to

envision a scenario in which you the eat the rich sentiment manifests in a desire to
