This is maybe, Cody is buzzing. He is vibrating at a very high rate right now.

When me and Wren were coming up with this episode on Friday, we were just like, we were going.

Like it was just like, we were like, oh, fuck.

Yeah, and that and that and that.

We are doing an American Idol episode.

You know, I've said it before.

This country, this great country that we live in, the United States of America, was never as united as it was when A, we gave the crown to Kelly Clarkson, but just even the first season of American Idol. We were, we were united.

As Ren said, it was part of the monoculture. I don't know that we've actually achieved a monoculture

since American Idol. I would, I would also, I would also agree with that statement. Like,

with the invention of the internet, social media, we've just diverged into too many different

forks in the road.

There's too much dissension within the ranks.

Yeah.

And water cooler culture is just gone at this point.

There's only a few things in this world that get us Americans together.

And I would say, honestly, the Super Bowl is honestly the only one I can think of.

And even that divides people. And even that divides people. But we're all talking about it. So that's one thing. Conversation is started. Conversation. And I will, I will accredit to this, this phenomenon of American Idol. I'm going to get a little dark. Oh, it's not dark, dark, but I'm just saying, you know, I...

Dark-sided? Dark-satted? Gargoyle. A secret thing about me is I love to watch history documentaries, especially the ones on Netflix. There's a great World War II one. There's a great Cold War one. And the one that I actually, not even as research for this, I am watching the four or five-part series about 9-11 on Netflix.
