Hey everybody welcome back to the miscellaneous podcast. I'm your host Elena and this week we have

someone that knows a lot more about everything than me. So again like I say grab your note pad

because you'll probably say something important and I might say a joke that you'll want to steal.

So Gina DeVee welcome to my fucking podcast.

Aw thanks Elena it's so great to be here. The crowd goes wild. I'm really excited to talk to you

because you're a queen. There's a queen in every woman. There is. There really is. It's just the

whole like realizing it yourself that's been tough for me and I imagine for so many others.

But you wrote a book you're a whole last author you like wrote so many words down consecutively

that it was turned into up. It was good enough consecutive words strung together that someone made

that a book on purpose and people have read it that's impressive. How does that make you feel?

It's humbling and an honor and a lifelong dream and you know being a digital content creator for

so long you don't realize like when or I didn't realize when I went to go like actually write a book

I'm like wait this is going to be on people's shelves like I don't I can't go delete this I can't

take it down like this is this is it this is where it's at so it was it was a very different process

than I thought it would be and I'm very very grateful and humble yeah okay so give me like

here a little background how where where did you get started how did this happen what did you

use to do how did we become who we are today god it got it sure well hi everyone I'm Gina DeVe I was

a schoolteacher's kid in the suburbs of Detroit so I didn't grow up rich or poor and I got this

really mixed message growing up in the Midwest where it was like you can be anything you want to be

but you need to like go to an in-state college and you need to be reasonable and you need to be

practical and you need to get a job and you need to pay your bills and go to church and take
