They want to be independent and call their own shots.

But for those who belong to Christ, discipline and accountability should be seen as spiritual

safeguards.

And God has provided those things through the local church.

In other words, you need a church that graciously and lovingly keeps you from walking off a spiritual

ledge.

But let's just acknowledge from the start, we don't think we need this, at least not naturally.
