0:11.3	And gentlemen, back in about 2016, China dropped its one-child policy, and now they've got a problem of a different nature.
0:20.6	It seems that India has just bypassed
0:22.9	China as the most populous nation in the world and Chinese births went from about 18 million a year
0:30.1	in 2016 when they dropped that one child policy to below 10 million a year now. A drop of 46% according to the Wall Street Journal.
0:40.3	Even during the starvation years in the 1960s,
0:44.0	China's population was half of what it is now,
0:46.6	but births never fell below 10 million a year.
0:50.2	And now they are below that.
0:51.9	So the Chinese government is now, they're not requiring, but they are
0:54.8	trying to encourage people to have three children. Stephen Green, I thought that this was an
1:01.4	interesting illustration of the power of government to do good, don't you? Well, government has the power to do, do.
1:14.0	I came up with this analogy years and years ago when we were on the together on the old network, the previous network, and that is government intervention.
1:25.0	And I was talking about the economy.
1:26.4	And this was during the Obama years. Oh, we're going to cut interest rates, we're going to stimulate the economy with the free money, we're going to do all this stuff.
1:33.3	And I say government intervention is like that game you used to play when we were kids, or at least I did, where you take the baseball bat and you put the bottom end of the bat, the butt end of the bat on the palm
1:44.4	of your hand, and you try and balance it upright. And just because the nature of gravity and
1:51.9	human reflexes and all the rest, when the top of the back goes this way and you, you scooch under
1:56.5	to compensate, to keep it to keep balance, to keep it upright, you're going to overcompensate
2:02.0	just a little bit.
2:03.1	So the next time the bat moves is going to go this way, it's going to go a little bit further.
