Good morning everyone and welcome back to another morning with the masters where we devote

The scripture is Psalms chapter 51 verse 10. And this is a Psalm of David regarding the time

Nathan the prophet came to him after David had committed adultery with Besheba. And it says,

create in me a clean heart, oh God, renew a loyal spirit within me.

The devotional says, fight for your heart. Who is in charge of your heart? Who holds the keys to

your emotions, feelings, and perspective in life? Too often we delegate the responsibility

of the atmosphere of our hearts to other people or things, our spouses, friends, parents,

the media or outward circumstances of our lives. You have to fight for your heart.

Proverbs 4 23 says, above all else, guard your heart for everything you do flows from it.

Mental and emotional health flows from the heart. We are often quick to guard our houses, cars,

and material possessions, but overlook our hearts. Physically, heart attacks occur when one or

more of your coronary arteries becomes blocked. So what plaque of life has been building up in

your heart? As a follower of Jesus, what do you do when your heart feels clogged up with sadness,

depression, anxious thoughts, or heartbreak? David gives us a great example to follow in Psalm 42.

Do not destroy your emotions. Learn how to praise God despite them. Psalm 42 5 says,

why my soul are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will get praise
