So here is a verse of scripture. Here's a verse from the Bible that appears on no sticking

notes on no makeup mirror anywhere. Wives.

I haven't even read it yet. Submit yourself to your own husbands as you do to the Lord.

This is not anybody's life first, ladies. Nobody's like, I just got to keep that in mind, right?

In fact, I want to just push back on this a little bit, okay? Please don't leave early, okay?

What an irresponsible thing for someone and potentially dangerous thing for someone to suggest,

right? I mean, especially to a general audience. When this was written, it was a letter that was

circulated around churches all around the Mediterranean realm. I mean, people read this that the

author had never even met. He's telling how to run their marriage and he's never even met these

people. He's never met, you know, these women's husbands. I mean, how can you just say this to a

general audience like wives like all wives, every wife and every marriage? I mean, before he even

knows their story, I mean, just submit and you're supposed to submit to your husbands as, you know,

basically to God. I mean, what kind of advice is that? And how in the world did it make it into

the Bible? I mean, those are good questions, right? I mean, you've thought that, but it's like

since the Bible, I can't ask this and other preachers ask it and you're wondering what kind of churches

...
